چکیده
Snakehead, Channa striata, has a long history of invasion and associated negative impacts on the biodiversity native aquatic organisms in Mekong Delta. However, internal white spot disease caused by Aeromonas schubertii massive effect production snakehead fish but also can spread to wild populations consumers. The aim study was investigate prevalence multi-antibiotic resistance (MAR) A. isolated from cultured several Delta farms, as well its potential throughout infection season. Based morphological biochemical tests, phylogenetic analysis three housekeeping genes (16S rRNA, gyrB, rpoD), isolates recovered nodules were strongly identified schubertii. antibiotic susceptibility testing revealed that all (n = 25) phenotypically multidrug-resistant, with erythromycin (84%), rifampicin flumequine (88%), amoxicillin (96%), ciprofloxacin (92%), florfenicol (92%). multiple indices ranged 0.33 0.92, isolate As28 being resistant against 11 out 12 tested antibiotics. In particular, 15 MAR phenotypes (MARPs) found 25 8 (32%) commonly displaying patterns Ery–Rif–Flq–Aml–Cip–Flo, four (16%) expressing Ery–Rif–Nov–Flq–Aml–Cip–Flo. A hierarchical clustering their antibiotic-resistant bacteria may indicate cross-invasion between ponds/fish farms ability survive environments for periods (at least 3 months). Our results suggest diversity MARPs represents hazard modifying composition organisms, especially To successfully manage C. striata future, eco-friendly techniques should be used restrict inside invaded habitat river.

Molecular characterization of antibiotic resistance in Pseudomonas and Aeromonas isolates from catfish of the Mekong Delta, Vietnam.
A collection of 116 motile Pseudomonas spp. and 92 Aeromonas spp. isolated from 15 Vietnamese intensive catfish farms was analyzed to examine the molecular antibiotic resistance characteristics and the transferability of resistance markers within and between species. High levels of resistance to ampicillin, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, nalidixic acid, chloramphenicol, and nitrofurantoin were ...
متن کاملFactors affecting farmers’ adoption of integrated rice–fish farming systems in the Mekong delta, Vietnam
In the Mekong delta, inland fishing and rice production provided a major source of income for rural communities. Since early settlement, the inhabitants have caught fish. Still, fish provides the main source of animal protein in their daily diet (Madan et al. 2005). Fish are caught in flood plains and in rice fields. The wild fish catch has declined since 1970 (Gagauan & Arce 1992), as a result...
متن کاملThe prevalence and genetic diversity of group A rotaviruses on pig farms in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam
Group A rotaviruses (ARoVs) are a common cause of severe diarrhea among children worldwide and the cause of approximately 45% of pediatric hospitalizations for acute diarrhea in Vietnam. ARoVs are known to cause significant economic losses to livestock producers by reducing growth performance and production efficiencies, however little is known about the implications of asymptomatic endemic cir...
